About Us

D&P Sports Cards was founded in 1994 by David and Patty Lawrence (the 'D' and 'P' of D&P Sports Cards) and for many years catered to the needs of local collectors of sports and game trading cards. After many years of servicing the community Dave and his wife retired from the hobby and sold the store to Chris Seibel.

Chris Seibel has been an avid Hockey card collector since 1994 and a loyal customer of D&P Sports Cards since 2002. After an early career in the Golf business Chris found himself managing multi-million dollar retail stores but dreamed of one day owning a card shop of his own.  As a customer of D&P Sports Cards, he established a relationship with Dave and learned of his plans for his future retirement. In June of 2008 Chris' dream came true when he was handed the keys to D&P Sports Cards. He set off to re-invent the shop and bring the hobby to a new group of collectors using modern tools like eBay, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

In 2011 this website was launched as an informational tool for the shop as well as a way to showcase some of the exciting events and impressive cards that have come from the new and improved D&P Sports Cards.
